Rugby Park Stadium in Invercargill was established in the early 1900’s and is the lifeblood of Southland provincial rugby.
The stadium underwent a facelift in 2001, raising the capacity of the new stand to 5,000 as well as upgrading player changing rooms, media and hospitality areas.
The total capacity for Rugby Park is a modest 17,000 but the stadium is easy to get to, a casual 20 minute walk from central Invercargill.
How to get there:
Walking
Rugby Park Stadium is located an easy 2km walk south from central Invercargill. The route will be clearly signposted.
Bus
Invercargill is flat and easy to get around regardless of your choice of transport. A public bus service operates regularly covering the inner city and outer suburbs. Stops are Purple Circle, Newfield, Heidelberg & Clarendon (Princess Street).
Car
Street parking is available in the area around the stadium but patrons are encouraged to walk to the stadium.
