England national rugby union team2 England national rugby union team for Rugby World Cup 2011The England national rugby union team represents England in rugby union. They compete in the annual Six Nations Championship with France, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, and Wales. They have won this championship on 26 occasions, 12 times winning the Grand Slam, making them the most successful team in the tournament’s history. England also compete for the Calcutta Cup with Scotland as part of the Six Nations. They are ranked fifth in the world by the International Rugby Board as of 21 March 2011. England won the Rugby World Cup in 2003 and finished runners-up in 1991 and 2007.
The history of the team extends back to 1871 when the English rugby team played their first official Test match, losing to Scotland by one try. England dominated the early Home Nations Championship (now the Six Nations) which started in 1883. Following the schism of rugby football in 1895, England did not win the Championship again until 1910. England first played against New Zealand in 1905, South Africa in 1906, and Australia in 1909. England was one of the teams invited to take part in the inaugural Rugby World Cup in 1987 and went on to appear in the final in the second cup in 1991 only to be defeated by Australia. Following their 2003 Six Nations Grand Slam, England won that year’s World Cup – beating Australia 20–17 in extra time. They also contested the final in 2007 but finished as runners up, losing 15–6 to South Africa.

Scotland national rugby union team
The Scotland national rugby union team represent Scotland in international rugby union. Rugby union in Scotland is administered by the Scottish Rugby Union. The Scotland rugby union team is currently ranked ninth in the IRB World Rankings as at 28 February 2011. They annually take part in the Six Nations Championship and participate in the Rugby World Cup, which takes place every four years.
Scottish rugby dates back to 1871, where they beat England in the first international rugby union match at Raeburn Place. Scotland competed in the Five Nations from the inaugural tournament in 1883, winning it 14 times outright—including the last ever Five Nations in 1999—and sharing it another 8. In 2000 the competition accepted a sixth competitor, Italy, thus forming the Six Nations. Since this change, Scotland have yet to win the competition. The Rugby World Cup was introduced in 1987 and Scotland have competed in all six competitions, the last being in 2007. Scotland’s best finish came in 1991, where they lost to the All Blacks in the third place play-off.
Scotland have a strong rivalry with the English national team. They both annually compete for the Calcutta Cup. Each year, this fixture is played out as part of the Six Nations. England are the current holders after defeating Scotland 22–16 at Twickenham in the 2011 Six Nations.

Flag of New Zealand
The flag of New Zealand is a defaced Blue Ensign with the Union Flag in the canton, and four red stars with white borders to the right. The stars represent the constellation of Crux, the Southern Cross.
New Zealand’s first flag, the flag of the United Tribes of New Zealand, was adopted before New Zealand became a British colony. Chosen by an assembly of M?ori chiefs in 1834, the flag was of a St George’s Cross with another cross in the canton containing four stars on a blue field. After the formation of the colony in 1841, British ensigns began to be used. The current flag was designed and adopted for restricted use in 1869 and became the national flag in 1902. It is the British Blue Ensign, incorporating a stylized representation of the Southern Cross showing the four brightest stars in the constellation. Each star varies slightly in size. The Union Flag in the canton recalls New Zealand’s colonial ties to Britain.

In  B group of the Rugby World Cup 2011 we have some very solid teams and this can also be labeld as the group of death as England, Scotland and Argentina are in the same group other two teams are Romania and Georgia are the other two teams which makes it 5 teams in this group.

England are the strongest unit and the favourite to win the group, but the race for the 2nd place is wide open as Scotland are not in best of the forms and Argentina might be a team who can surprise them. We predict Engalnd as the winners of the Groupwhile Scotland coming as the runnerup.

Scotland started playing rugby Back in 1871 and they have been part of the Cups since very long. Although their performces in the RWC  blow par, theri best the any of the World CUps they have been part of is the 4th placed finish in the 1991. Since than they do chok at the big moment which is kind of bad for them.

They are placed in the group B with the likes of England, Argentina, Georgia and Romani. This group is kind of where they might struggle but on paper they should just sealed through to round. What we expect is a runner up place for them behind 2003 Champions England. Only Argentina is the team which might trouble them but apart from that its easy we have to say.

England are team playing on top of their game for the last couple of years and they are one of the favourites to go all the way in the World Cup 2011 and it will be interesting to see how this years event goes about. England won the World Cup in 2003 and since than Rugby in England has been a very famous sport after Football, every year they play in the 6 nations and other big matches.

England has finished runnerups in two occasions, in 1991 and again in 2007 when they lost against South Africa in the Final of the Rugby World Cup. England played two Warmup matches against Wales recently and they were no overly convincing to say the least, as at home they won it with a very narrow margin and got defeated against Wales in Cardiff in convincing fashion which leaves quite a few question marks over their ability to perform at the highest level.
